moments: 2016

Every day, think as you wake up, today I am fortunate to be alive, I have a precious human life, I am not going to waste it. I am going to use all my energies to develop myself, to expand my heart out to others; to achieve enlightenment for the benefit of all beings. I am going to have kind thoughts towards others. I am not going to get angry or think badly about others. I am going to benefit others as much as I can.

OH, WHAT A YEAR, WHAT A YEAR... . 2016 is gone for good and I already managed to wish you ois guade in 2017. If it hadn't been for my peculiar sense of time, I'd most probably tell you how important it is to spend a while and dwell upon the past 12 months and think about all the good vibes and whatnot. Well, nope. The very first day of 2017 was like any other day of the year (minus closed shops) and somehow the wind of change wasn't blowing my way.

Still, as a blogger, I sometimes feel the need (no, I don't) to follow the trend and sum up my past year  a little bit. But not with pseudo-elaborate nonsense on how I changed and discovered my dark side or any other alter ego. I'm not even gonna succumb to the challenge and pretend 2016 was unique (but not just unique, more like the uniquest) because my inner scientist discovered the new Big Bang Theory that changed my life completely and generally speaking, everything was a constant change, I went from kosher to parve, from overdosing on lamb to vegan or whatever the trends. Hell, no.

In 2016 I was unapologetically myself. Isn't that something to be proud of as well? I mean, there's nothing good in changes, especially the good ones, but why on Earth am I supposed to change in a given moment in time just because it's better/cooler/more fashionable/etc ? Still, I like to look back from time to time and recollect a few moments. Plus, it's also another excuse to create content. Just kidding.

With highs and lows, smiles and cries, here are a few outtakes from the 365 days of 2016.

The Dollhouse Museum. Warsaw, July 2016

Naturhistorisches Museum. August 2016

This is what I absolutely love Vienna: thousands of antique shops with little gems like this one book with absolutely unique calligraphy. I didn't even step in to ask about the price cause it might have been higher than Mount Everest and would only leave me miserably looking at my bank account.

the museum shop at Albertina (probably one of my favourite museums in Europe) selling art in smaller sizes

It's particularly heartwarming to look at this picture right now as it's been -17 degrees today in Warsaw (and in my hometown -21). In other words: I'm forming a prayer circle and hope for a change in the weather when it's time so that I can have more spontaneous dates with My Boy.
