I found this photo on tumblr and the story behind it moved me so deeply that I decided to make it the main picture in October's fomo instead of using my own work. Here's the story:
i get that tumblr is filled with unattributed images but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth that this particular picture has been removed from its (very significant) original context. this is from an installation by aida sehović that commemorates the bosnian genocide. it was exhibited in sarajevo in 2004, with every cup corresponding to a victim of the genocide identified and buried that year. this context is important.
“Full-Time Cat Mom” Dispels all Stereotypes of the “Miserable Cat Lady” With Her 12 Cats Heaven on Earth, para-para-paradise! Back in the days I used to own a smilier amount of cats, call me Crazy Cat Lady, and it was amazing. I just love animals and the more of them I have around me, the happier I am (yep, I sometimes I even get excited about a fly or a fish) so I totally feel Michelle.
Not Enough People Are Talking About What Just Happened to Children in Syria I remember when the conflict in Syria broke out. I didn't understand much (knowledge and greater understanding comes with age) from what was going on but my only hope was that it ends quickly. Years passed by and the news coming from Syria get worse and worse days after day. Getting involved in global politics is a risky game and that's why I always prefer to ficus on citizens who couldn't or sometimes didn't want to flee their country. It really pains me to see images of all the victims, especially children andI'm hoping the world will finally wake up and solve this conflict trying to think of some peaceful solution.

The Story of Paris Through Its Storefronts Now, who doesn't like window shopping? If you've ever been to Vienna, you must have noticed how carefully all the shopping windows are prepared. They can even convince you to buy another light bulb, even though you may already store dozens at home. Still, window shopping in Vienna is itself a real pleasure, especially in the Josefstadt Bezirk. Here, Label (a polish magazine) instroduces us to the Paris re-tale project, showing this beautiful city from a completely different perspective (but still, really charming, kind of mysterious and magical).
Perfume Shoppers Swap Celebrities for Niche Scents Like Sea Salt Niche scents is a phenomenon I've had on y radar for quite a long time. Not to mention this is definitely my favourite group of scents and I try to avoid buying fragrances in Sephora or Douglas (unless I'm obsessing over some scent but still, I hardly every smell like every second girl you come across in the Warsaw tube). Niche perfumeries selling some unknown scents have been quite popular lately and my absolute no.1 is Mo61 Perfume Lab where you can create your own scent. I've been there a few times and always left super duper happy with just the scent I'd always wanted. Niche scents are also some sort of longing for something natural, unique, just the way we are. Stephanie Wong at Business of Fashion explains the phenomenon giving some data and analysing the market.
