workspace inspiration

WORK HARD, PLAY HARD. Exams are officially kicikng off next Thursday but my first test in the History of Ancient Palestine is on Monday. This means I should be buried in Mario Liverani's Oltre la Bibbia. Storia antica di Israele. And what am I doing in fact? Writing this post, drinking coffee with milk and cinnamon, watching skijumping and looking for some workspace inspiration. A neat desk with a few notebooks and a bunch of fresh flowers is the tumblr reality we're all used to. I can spend hours tumblring and having this vision of my brand new perfect life but then I go to my bedroom and see a pile of clothes as high as Tatra Mountains on my armchair (which 4 years ago turned out to be a perfect alternative closet and has been one since then). Tumblr vs. reality is something we all face all day every day. I can have 3 mugs near my bed cause I made myself way too much tea and had only taken a few sips before falling asleep. 

My desk hardly ever resembles tumblr reality. I have tons of papers, million notebooks and some books. And a printer. And old keyboard stickers. And colourful pens mixed together so that they never look good in pictures. And even though I tell myself it's high time to do something about it and have a desk just like every self-respecting blogger should, the results are far from my ideal visions and expectations. That is why I decided to select some pictures that would more or less give an idea of what I see as a perfect desk and put them here. Hopefully this can motivate me to clean all the mess (once I'm done with exams and can devote one day to cleaning and nothing else) and share the result (+ have a new background for shooting).
