Fusion of Classic Paintings and Modern Day Cityscapes This is something which I at first would compare to Classical Art Memes on Facebook but much better! Alexey Kondakov does a little time travelling and brings our favourite models from oil paintings into contemporary surroundings. Follow his Instagram for more.

Does It Matter Where Your Clothes Are Made? It is really good that a giant like Business of Fashion touched on this sensitive topic. It's really important that we start paying attention to the country of origin of the things we buy and there are many ways of supervising big brands right from your humble abode. Fair fashion is a very broad subject and hard to fit in a few lines here, but if you want to become an aware consumer, there are many groups on Facebook or blogs (Dariadaria being my favourite) or Internet forums where you can catch up with like-minded people.

cahmun I came across Carmen, a nutrition student from Vancouver, thanks to Maren when she shared her favourite Instagram accounts. It's become my all time favourite foodstagram and a mine of  healthy breakfast ideas.

The Fashion World Comes Together in Video to Proclaim, ‘I Am an Immigrant’ 81 people from the fashion industry (among them Anja Rubik) unite in this powerful video reminding each and every one of us, not only the American people, that when they came to the US, America was very good to them (to paraphrase the summing up sentence by Diane von Furstenberg).

'Th' sound to vanish from English language by 2066 because of multiculturalism, say linguists I'm a huge fan when it comes to the multi-culti phenomenon and I always say that the more cultures mix together in a city, the better. But this news is rather sad as one of my favourite sounds in the language of Shakespeare is about to vanish quite soon. I'd like to say that the linguists are wrong to say so but, being a linguist myself, I must admit it's very likely to happen. No hope for the th sound? It's all in our hands (and mouths!). Go and practice! And talk talk talk!

Arabic Words Illustrated Based On Their Literal Meaning Mahmoud El Sayed getting all artsy and playful with arabic calligraphy and words. Absolutely cute!

Heartbreaking photos of the Polish refugee camps in Iran during WWII As you may unfortunately know, the place I use to call my motherland isn't really fond of diversity and refugees. Needless to say this brings me to a lot of shame everytime I get to read foreign newspapers mentioning Poland in this rather not so glorious way. Still, history can't be rewritten and these pictures only prove that just as Jews many maaaany years ago were once refugees in Egypt (Purim's next week!), the Polish people used to live in refugee camps in Iran. Really powerful!

Anonymous Student Surprises Entire School With 1500+ Handmade Valentines He’s Been Making Since September You may not know but me and My Boy don't really celebrate the Valentine's Day. I've never been into all things mainstream and in my humble opinion there are so many days to tell someone you love them that you don't need that special one when teenagers go to KFC or Pizza Hut and the local florist's keeps puking red hearts and red roses. But what this guy did is absolutely awesome! I remember that back in primary school we used to make heart-shaped cards for those from the class we fancied and I always felt sorry for those people who didn't get anything from anyone (at the same time feeling extremely proud when I got something #doublestandards). If there was such a guy in every school all around the world maybe life would be a little easier, huh?

Here Is Something Nice: A Duck Wedding We all need to see a duck wedding once.

Dubai: Would-be home to world’s first rotating skyscraper In December I got my Parents the 3D Dubai puzzle and together we had so much fun 'building' the city from scratch. We had little buildings, including Burj Khalifa of course, and even the Palm Island. A few weeks later I came across this article and I'm just wondering if this is the future of design? Sounds really interesting and let's see what comes out of this crazy idea.
