fomo: December

50 Top Online Learning Sites A little (or maybe not so little) study inspiration and advice for all those who seek some apps to make studying easier and more pleasant. Also some pages with free online courses (not only for students!).

Same Latitude Cities European capitals replaced with cities which have the same latitude. Really interesting and giving a completely new perspective on how we see the world (not only according to maps).

How to Make Pusheen Holiday Cookies A must for all the Pusheen fans or the lazy ones looking for a really good reason to bake something cute (too cute to eat?). Not only for Christmas :)

10+ Gustav Klimt Tattoos To Show Your Artistic Side If you're into art and currently looking for some new tat inspiration, you might as well use one of these ideas. Klimt has always been my favourite painter and, maybe I wouldn't ink any of his paintings, but these tats might as well look cool as pictures on the wall or in your diary.

Holy Parody In case you were looking for creepy yet religious Christmas presents for little girls who love Barbie

KFC released a scented candle that fills your house with the smell of fried chicken. Now you can basically have your flat smiling of Kentucky Fried Chicken, if you're a fan of this kind of smell.

A Vivid Folkloric Tradition of Costume and Dance Is Alive and Well in Oaxaca City It's really surprising when Vogue writes not only about high fashion glitterati but also about traditional clothes. I can only hope it's just the beginning of discovering cultural varieties around the globe and making them more visible in everyday fashion.

Wanna Buy the Western Wall Over Hanukkah? Hasbro Launches Jerusalem Monopoly I've been a great fan of Monopoly since I was a little kid and got to play this game with my childhood friend for the very first time. Then I must have run to my parents and asked them to buy me exactly the same game cause it was so great! That's how I got to own the Warsaw edition of the famous game (which I still have up to this day). And now the best news ever: there's a brand new Monopoly edition - the Holy city of Jerusalem! Finally you can own HaKotel (even if it's only a tiny square on the board).

The most Googled products and services for sale in every country, in one map December is the time of overconsumption and, in many cases, buying weird things for people we don't really know and like. That's why I thought it'd be nice to have a look at what people around the globe look for using Google (and hopefully not use that as a Christmas/Chanukkah/whatever the occasion present).

Calligraffiti artist transforms the streets and alleyways of Gaza Contemporary art meets the old (but never old-fashioned) tradition of Arabic calligraphy .

The Best of 2016 on Tumblr December is also the month of summaries so here's a tumblr fandometrics

Women Who Draw As it says, Women Who Draw is an open directory of female professional illustrators. You can search for dozens of endless inspiration by religion, country, ethnicity or sexual orientation. This is what the world needs in 2017!

The world’s required reading list: The books that students read in 28 countries I consider myself very lucky to be able to travel the world and study at different universities (Vienna, Haifa) meeting people from all over the world. We always talk about our universities and what we do, what we read and so on and it's always so inspiring, especially when you meet people majoring in the same field as you. Here, TED serves us with a list of compulsory readings in countries such as Afghanistan, China, Germany or India. time to add new titles to my never-ending list of books I absolutely need to read!

Giving Up Christmas As a Convert to Judaism December is for most of you the month when Christmas is celebrated. But for Jews, December is usually the month of Chanukkah (or whatever the spelling) also know as the Festival of Lights. That's why I decided to finish off this fomo with an essay by Annette Gendler, a convert to Judaism, who tells a little more about the Chanukkah miracle and how it's indeed possible she doesn't miss Christmas at all.
