moments: Septmber

DARK AND MISTY AND FRIGID AND OCTOBER. This is the life for the next couple of weeks. Time to get your favourite tea and something to read (btw I saw so many books about Shoah and Jews and even more albums about art that I'm gonna use the tumblr money cat soon) and enjoy those perfect October evenings smelling of vanilla and oriental spices. Sweater weather, shawls, suede ankle boots and even more jazz music - this is probably my October this year.

But before I vanish into my own world of autumn leaves and even longer walks, I guess it's the right time to look back at the last cuple of weeks and the old wives' summer spent in the company of the Catalan sun, sangria and churros. It was also the time of my hometown glory (I still have some feelings for this city and even though the whole country laughs at it, the older I get the more I appreciate it and search for some unknown places and dig deeper in its histroy), looking at old pictures of myself, reading books (I got my love for art albums from my mum) and simply spending some quality time with the family. And Bobek.

Uni kicked off on Thursday. This still sounds a bit surreal and I'm not really mentally used to this fact. But unlike last year, I'm not gonna serenade people with my annual 'macumba, macumba, yo no quiero estudiar' haiku. I guess what I really need to finally accept the arrival of autumn (apart from the weather outside) is my favorite hibiscus tea from Starbucks (cliché I know) in their cute takeaway paper mug. I saw it in a bin in Barcelona and fell in love (read: I almost took it from the bin cause I love the design). So since I'm not into pumpkin spice latte and all the other autumnal goodies from Starbucks I'll go for some tea and get the mug anyway. And yes, I'll instagram each and every of it angles. But only for the fashion purpose!

The weather forecast fairies say it's the last weekend with so much sun and so many degrees outside, so let's make some use of it! If you happen to be in Warsaw tomorrow, feel free to visit JCC Warsaw at 11am and have some fun in the sukotaxi (come and find out what it really is). And if you're curious what Judaism says about refugees, there's a nice discussion at 2pm in our synagogue on Twarda followed by a nice speech delivered by Stas Wojciechowicz. There are also many more things on the menu, so come and see what's in store and I promise you won't be disappointed :)
