Music Monday #7

Everybody go and say HAPPY BIRTDAY to this guy <click> cause he's turning 23 today and he's cute as a button and I'm a huge fan! Go, do it now because important hahaahahhaha.

Now let's talk some more serious stuff. It was December 2005 (26th to be even more precise) and I was spending the day at my grandparents. I was kinda bored so I started searching something interesting on TV. With the remote control in my hand I was a self-proclaimed queen of literally everything and could make my family watch whatever I wanted. It was Christmas time so there was actually nothing attention-worthy on TVbut then suddenly I saw something that was like a new breath of life. No kidding. It was the annual (well almost, cause last year there was nothing like this cause we had no snow yo!) competition held back then in Zakopane. What more could I ask for?!

Those were the times when I wasn't really into all those skijumping sites on te net, there was no Facebook and if you wanted to have some extra knowledge you had to do a lot of research and read a lot of books. I still have real fondness for that time. Evrytime I was watching skijumping I had a little notebook with me and I used to note down every result with some remarks. I still do that from time to time actually but now I have access to all the results online so there's not so much pressure to pay attention to every single detail.

So when I saw there's skijumping on TV I only could wish I hadn known earlier so that I could bring my notebook with me. But I had no notebook apart from my little calendar. i can still remember that it was green and had silver pages. So I grabbed the calendar, quickly found a pen and I was ready to fully enjoy the competition. Since it wasn't a World Cup competition, I had a chance to see a lot of young Polish athletes. Inoted down every single name (and also their age hahahah) and later on I underlined some names that in my opinion would be big. I'll be honest now I'll tell you that my prediction wasn't based on their actual skills or talent but their appearence. But the funniest thing is that all of the names are in our national team now and if not they're really talented and represent all the best clubs in Poland.

One of the athleteswas Maciej Kot. He was cute as a button (and still is to be honest). My dream was to see him one day on TV among all the other big names and I was more than happy to see his first World Cup jump in 2007. It was like a real dream come true for me. And this year in Sochi it was something even bigger and sometimes I really had to hold back my tears because I was so deeply moved.

Now that he's turning 23 today (still can't believe how time flies) may all his dreams explode into maginficent realities!

And now everybody pop the champagne and throw confetti in the air!
