without your routines

On Sunday while looking for some inspiration for the blog, I came across some sort of a challenge based on the idea of making your life better and happier. Probably it's not a good inspiration for the next post but anyway I decided to read it. One of the points that should change my life and put a smile on my face was: 'wake up 15 or 30 minutes earlier than usual and make it your habit'. This should change my whole day. I always wake up early due to my uni schedule and months ago I would wake up even earlier. Zombie face and not so perfect mood guaranteed. So now, that I decided to give my little self a bit more of a shut eye, how am I supposed to wake up earlier and admier the brand new day? Ok, maybe this would make a change but not in my attitude. It would just give me more time to stand in front of my closet trying to make the perfect Cannes outfit that might as well look good at the uni. That's why I decided to live it and accepted the fact that maybe my life won't be better anytime soon but at least I'll have some well deserved sleep.

Yesterday was Monday and Monday is the day when I can sleep longer as uni starts at 9:40 am. This of course doesn't mean that I sleep longer. I tend to wake up as usual and arrive earlier at the uni. It makes no sense but I'd rather be somewhere 30 minutes earlier than 5 minutes later. And when the weather is nice I take a longer walk and enjoy the early morning vibe of the city that is always so hectic and vivid.

But yesterday I must have been so sleepy that I somehow woke up 30 minutes later. Surprisingly there was no panic and I wasn't running around my flat like a turkey before Thanksgiving. Quite the opposite. I had a really slow breakfast, prepared my outfit, got dressed up and such and off was I! And you know what? I even managed to take my weekly Monday stroll with a quick stop at my favourite French bakery.

Conclusion? A little bit of sleep never killed nobody. My mood yesterday was so good that I could almost move every mountain and the shining sun only added up to that beautiful picture.
