pimp my keyboard

Finding some workspace inspiration is one of my favourite things to do while spoiling myself online. A desk with no mess and everything put on place and all that crowned with a bunch of fresh flowers look so beautiful that I krep telling myself that it's too good to be true. Yes, I'm trying to have an alibi for the constant mess on my desk. But everytime I press the 'reblog' button I also think that it's probably a photoshoot and such things don't happen in real life. I'm not a perfect houswife and I'm far from believing that having an organised wardrobe and dishes shining brighter that the Sun will make me happy and my marriage will last forever. That is why I hardly ever feel the tension before feasts to start cleaning the house weeks before the day X. After all celebrating isn't about having clean windows.

Coming back to the main topic and the idea of having a nice place to work, I decided that I'm gonna give it a go. I'm still kind of reorganising my workspace and make use of all the empty shelves in my flat . Keep your fingers crossed cause once I'm done I'm gonna share it here as some sort of evidence and maybe also some inspiration for my fellow readers (it's You).

Yesterday I stopped at H&M to buy a new set of bobby pins. I don't know what's the thing with them but they go missing out of the blue when you need them. It had never bothered me before but since I'm growing my hair I need them to look a little less like a zombie and a little more like a girl. But it just would't be me if I had just entered the store and left it with bobby pins. I no longer visit H&M as often as I used to but everytime I'm there I always check their accessories department. So it was yesterday. Having found the thing I wanted I saw some stationery and things like that. You need to know that when it comes to stationery I'm a real maniac. I absolutely love nice notebooks, agendas, pens, pencils... . It somehow makes me more eager to use them and over the years I have even debeloped my own theory that such things, although small and probably not that important, make learning easier. I'm that kind of person that is always focused on the visual content so when I see something coloured or highlighted I'm more likely to memorise it.

Ok, that was a little digerssion so now let's come back to the accessories department at H&M. I was looking at all the notebooks and stuff and suddenly my eyes saw something that looked like a set of keyboard stickers. I took a closer look and yes! That was the thing! Well, maybe I wasn't looking for this and the design has nothing to do with the minimalism and white interiors that I adore but a little pop of colour never killed nobody and I had always wanted to know if such stickers work, if they last long or make typing easier/harder. I also had one more excuse to buy them. I have this bad habit of consuming meals while working on the computer. That is why me keyboard gets dirty way too easily and my lazy ass never needs to clean it. My bad, I know. My computer is Mac so they keyboard is white. This only adds up to the fact that you can even see drops of water there. In other words stickers seem to be the perfect solution to have a break from the ritual of cleaning the keyboard.

Speaking of the stickers themselves, as it can be seen from the pictures, they're really colourful. And though I like the design and the general idea, I have problems with decoding some of the letters. As You can also see some keys have no stickers. It's because the stickers don't seem to fit to some of the keys (compare the two before and after pics). Still I do like the final effect but we'll see if it lasts ,ong and if I can get used to the new design. CauseYou know, that's the thing with fashion, hypes and crazes. Something may look good but when it comes to its practical aspects all its beauty may fade. All I know is that this little keyboard makeover is not temporary. But it's definitely a nice change and also the sign that spring is not only in the air.
