Music Monday #1

MIX THE BURGEOISIE AND THE REBEL. Music plays a significant role in my life. No, no, I'm not a professional singer, I actually don't play any instrument and I somehow assume I'm a little tone deaf. Anyway, some good tunes cane make your day and as the famous tumblr proverb says: When words fail, Music speaks. Guess this statement needs no explanation cause I bet everyone has that moments in life when all we do is to curl up with a cuppa and put the player on shuffle and let it read our minds.

I came up with the idea of Music Mondays some time ago when I had no idea what to post but felt the desperate need to feel the vacuum. The original idea was that the player is on shuffle and I write the first 10 songs that come. Now I think it'd be nice to modify it a little and change it into favourite songs of the week to have some positive vibes as the new week kicks off.

Anyway today I'd like to share something different. Since now I'm officially 22 and feel a little older than let's say 2 days ago, I decided to put all important tracks from the 21st year of my life here. It's gonna a bit of One Direction (I fell for them last April and I'm not gonna feel ashamed, I love One Direction), a bit of Arctic Monkeys (a day without them is a lost one for sure, my favourite band forever and ever), a bit of hip hop (dancing classes proved that's my vibe and my legs are made for dancing) and some other mainstream tunes cause it's always good to know which way the wind is blowing.

Officially named my song of 2013. The story behind this nomination is really long and I don't wanna come back to it all over again. All I can say is that I finally ended some kind of a long acquaintance with a real chlamydia and my advide to You all is that when you start missing the memories not the person, it's probably time to burn all the bridges, forget and move on. The story's over now. The end.

Thts'a how it all actually started. All this One Direction craze. I remember discovering their songs in Spotify and realising that the hashtag zaynhasthevoiceofanangel is important. And Zayn is important and your fave could never. Hahaha. And I kinda feel sorry for people who don't like One Direction cause the lads are everywhere and there's no escaping them in fact.

To be honest, I didn't fell for it the first time I heard it. It took me some repeats, some analysis, some deeper thought and then I came up with the idea of crawling back to you because I've never meant to hurt you when I wrote you 100 lovesongs. And now, I'm probably busy being someone's to fall for somebody new (another advice: don't cheer for athletes who are almost your age and single and handsome. just don't. find someone taken, happily married with 3 kids and a dog.)

This is probably the official soundtrack to my summer stay in Vienna. It kept playing on repeat almost everywhere, every radio station had to play it every hour. It had some spirit, some positive vibes I needed back then.

This is the first song by Paloma I came across of Spotify and I was straight head over heels in love with her voice. Her voice is everything. Period.

I remember the morning this song was added to SoundCloud and then deleted. God bless all the people who saved it and shared with the world. I remember having a really deep thought on the lyrics and even posted summat longer on it. I still like the song to pieces, if Harry ever goes solo I want him to record songs tracks like this one and nothing elese.

I remember being on my way to the uni and playing it on repeat almost all the way there and the I had my hip hop classes and we were dancing to this song and it was so powerful and it's one of those choreographies I'll never ever forget.

Speaking of choreographies, here's another track I had the pleasure to dance to. Additional late evening ladies choreo classes, some hip hop moves with a sexy twist and a lot of fun trying to be as seductive as possible.

This song was a real surprise and when I discovered it I kept playing it on repeat the whole week and even had it as my ringtone. It was also a very nice beginning of my love for Hippie Sabotage and Tove Lo. If You still don't know them, head to YT or Spotify to find out more cause these buddies are worth it.

I was waiting like a little kid waits for Christmas for Midnight Memories to finally come out. And though it got leaked I'm proud to say I was waiting till the official release date (bow down everybody!). Happily is probably my favourite track from the album and I'd love it to be a single. Though I must admit I do love other songs as well but this one is so energetic, has this optimistic vibe and Harry is singing from the bottom of his heart (as always actually but in Happily  I can easily picture him doing so on stage)
